The longer I foster (and I haven’t been doing it that long compared to most people in animal rescue) the more I hear the question(s), “How do you do it?” “Don’t you get attached?” The short answer to those questions are, “Because if I don’t, who will?” and “Yes, absolutely. 100%” I think I’ve negotiated with myself into how I could keep every foster that comes through my house. Today’s blog is about WHY you should consider fostering a dog. In the very short amount of time I’ve been fostering for Priceless Pets, I’m always getting asked why I do this. If you don’t know who Shadow is, he is an American Bully who was found emaciated in Moreno Valley while some people were out riding their motorcycles in the hills. I had always seen pictures of starving dogs like Shadow but never in person. He was 35 pounds when we picked him up. He was weak and could not stand that well but he also had too much pride to hang his head down low. After much needed medical attention and TLC, Priceless Pets and their awesome fosters got Shadow healthy enough......
