I write today’s blog with a very heavy heart. Our beloved Fairfield passed away this weekend. Without getting into details, his body couldn’t hold up anymore. Maybe it was because he finally could breathe easy and relax after fighting for so long to survive. I could only imagine how exhausted this guy was and the things he endured throughout the course of his life. I’ve been staring at this blank page off and on for the past 2 days deciding what direction I wanted to go with this and I decided that......

I love a smart ass girl. Especially when that smart ass girl is defending her pittie!! Today’s story comes from Jenny all the way from England! Jenny and her pittie, Cuba, were minding their own business in a field when a little Westie ran over to them barking and being aggressive towards Cuba. Cuba kind of looked at the Westie and then walked over to Jenny. The Westie followed and continued with his behavior. Finally, the owner ran over and her dog on a leash. These was the conversation that went down…......

For those of you that don’t know, Priceless Pets just adopted out another one of my fosters named, Fairfield. Fairfield is a senior German Shepherd who was literally dumped at one of the Priceless Pets director’s office. He was covered in ticks, his toe nails were so long that they curved back around into his foot. We got him cleaned up, took him to the vet and found out he not only did he have arthritis in his right front leg but he also was suffering from degenerative myelopathy. This is a......

Today’s blog is about WHY you should consider fostering a dog. In the very short amount of time I’ve been fostering for Priceless Pets, I’m always getting asked why I do this. Well, here a few reasons why YOU should: YOU FREE UP ROOM AND PROVIDE A “HOME” ENVORINMENT FOR A HOMELESS DOG: Fostering an animal means you free up room for another dog to be taken in. Essentially, you’re saving two lives! And while a rescue is stressful for just about all dogs, some dogs just don’t do well at all......

Happy Tuesday, everyone! Today’s story is from the Partitas who reside in California! I actually had the pleasure of meeting Melissa and her rescue dog, Olivia, randomly at a dog park one day and will be joining us in the Priceless Pets Pittie Crew Pack Walk on June 7th! Here is their story about how they rescued their 2 pitties! The Partidas are excellent bully advocates and I am happy to know them!! Thank you for sharing with us!! We got Olivia in January of this year and she was our first dog......

A few weeks ago, I received an email from Priceless Pet’s Director of Communications, Miss Ashlee Price, about helping out an 8th grade girl for her career project… Her name was Emma. You see, not only is she a volunteer at Priceless Pets but Emma has been so inspired by them that she now wants to have her own no-kill animal rescue. We had been emailing back and forth for weeks. She had sent Ashlee a list of questions to help her with her project and she put together quite the board......

So my “scabie baby” aka Amber, now Roxi, has been adopted by the two most loving parents she could ever ask for! 2 weeks ago, Amber was dumped at the pound after her owner found out she had scabies. Amber had been adopted through Priceless Pets. Instead of telling Priceless Pets of the situation, her owner decided dumping her at the pound was the better choice. But enough about that, I’ve already written about Amber HERE. Let’s talk about Ashley. Ashley is Amber’s new mom. Ever since the day Ashley saw Amber’s......

While some people still like to put the spike collars on them, I prefer to opt for the bandanas and “cute” collars. It’s almost like people see a different dog! And no, guys, you’re not sacrificing your man card by “dressing up” your dog. It’s a simple bandana and the girls actually love it. Lol Maybe I went a little far with the hats but it’s more for Elvis’ head as it gets pink when he’s out in the sun too long! And Penny, I think she just likes being dressed up!......

Today’s blog post is from Maria Gonzalez out of Texas! She took a chance on her bully, Elektra and completely turned her life around!! Elektra has been with me for almost 3 years, and the day I got her was probably the best thing I ever did. My family all moved to Texas, leaving me behind to finish school, so knowing no one like my mother would care for my daughter (who was around 2 years old) I let them take her to Texas. At first I was fine, I was having spare......

You know, growing up I had this pre-conceived notion on how my life was supposed to go. You go to kindergarten, grade school, high school, college, meet the girl of your dreams, start a family and live happily ever after. I was on such a good path until I graduated high school. I enrolled in college but I just took a bunch of classes I could care less about hoping I would just “figure it out”….never happened. I think I just went so I wouldn’t disappoint my parents. I ended up quitting......

As you all can see, Penny Lane and Elvis have altered the course of my life that I would never have imagined! I know I’m not alone! Has a bully breed or pittie changed your life? Maybe you were scared of them before and a certain dog changed your mind. Or maybe your bully got you through a rough time in your life. We would LOVE to hear about it! Email your story and pics to john@ipittythebull.com for a feature!...

Today I thought I would give everyone’s tear ducts a break and talk about how I think Kurtis got well so quick! People tend to give me a lot of credit for getting Kurtis back to health but I definitely didn’t do it alone! In fact, without the help of Priceless Pet’s very own, Ashlee Price, I don’t know that he would have gotten better so fast! Ashlee is all of 21 years old but she’s grown up in animal rescue so her experience goes far beyond her age. You see, Kurtis......

So last week Priceless Pets sent me to the Orange Counter Animal Shelter to evaluate a “pit bull” named Lindy. Lindy was set to be euthanized that morning but was saved at the last minute. And just so you know, I’m well aware that dogs can’t write but if they could, I would imagine that Lindy’s journal while she was in the pound would go something like this…. March 5, 2014: A man picked me up in a truck and now I’m in this cold cell by myself. I heard a couple......

A few days ago I was talking to my mom about what we are doing for Mother’s Day and in the middle of the conversation she asked me, “Hey, isn’t that dog Lucy a Mom?” What are you doing for her?” To be honest, I hadn’t even thought about it but then it got me thinking that no mother should be homeless. Not on Mother’s Day. Not ever. Every Saturday, I see people lining up for the puppies and people only want to look at the mom to get an idea of......

As some of you know, Elvis went with me yesterday to help evaluate a pit that Priceless Pets wanted to pull the day this dog was supposed to be euthanized. It also happened to be the same pound that Elvis was at a little less than a year ago where, he too, was hours away from being put down. When we arrived, I thought Elvis might be a little scared but he was just being the same old Elvis, trotting away with his head held high and saying hi to everyone that......

In June of 2013, after receiving a grant from Best Friends Animal Society to help with the adoption and promotion of Pit Bull Terriers, Priceless Pet Rescue gave birth to the Priceless Pets Pittie Crew! Priceless Pets had always had success rescuing and adopting out the bullies so this was kind of a no-brainer when the opportunity presented itself. The Pittie Crew is an extension of Priceless Pets that devotes itself to promoting the bully breeds and reversing their negative stereotypes. The thing that is awesome about this is that it’s made......
