A few weeks ago, I received an email from Priceless Pet’s Director of Communications, Miss Ashlee Price, about helping out an 8th grade girl for her career project… Her name was Emma. You see, not only is she a volunteer at Priceless Pets but Emma has been so inspired by them that she now wants to have her own no-kill animal rescue. We had been emailing back and forth for weeks. She had sent Ashlee a list of questions to help her with her project and she put together quite the board......

While some people still like to put the spike collars on them, I prefer to opt for the bandanas and “cute” collars. It’s almost like people see a different dog! And no, guys, you’re not sacrificing your man card by “dressing up” your dog. It’s a simple bandana and the girls actually love it. Lol Maybe I went a little far with the hats but it’s more for Elvis’ head as it gets pink when he’s out in the sun too long! And Penny, I think she just likes being dressed up!......

You know, growing up I had this pre-conceived notion on how my life was supposed to go. You go to kindergarten, grade school, high school, college, meet the girl of your dreams, start a family and live happily ever after. I was on such a good path until I graduated high school. I enrolled in college but I just took a bunch of classes I could care less about hoping I would just “figure it out”….never happened. I think I just went so I wouldn’t disappoint my parents. I ended up quitting......

As you all can see, Penny Lane and Elvis have altered the course of my life that I would never have imagined! I know I’m not alone! Has a bully breed or pittie changed your life? Maybe you were scared of them before and a certain dog changed your mind. Or maybe your bully got you through a rough time in your life. We would LOVE to hear about it! Email your story and pics to john@ipittythebull.com for a feature!...

As some of you know, Elvis went with me yesterday to help evaluate a pit that Priceless Pets wanted to pull the day this dog was supposed to be euthanized. It also happened to be the same pound that Elvis was at a little less than a year ago where, he too, was hours away from being put down. When we arrived, I thought Elvis might be a little scared but he was just being the same old Elvis, trotting away with his head held high and saying hi to everyone that......

I thought we would start Monday off on a bright note since my last couple posts have been on the not so bright side… Last week, Elvis got to accompany some of the other Priceless Pet’s dogs to Western University as part of a “de-stressing” event for 1st year med students. This was great all the way around. The students got to take a break and hang out with the pups while the pups got out of the rescue to get some fresh air and socialize! And you’ll probably never hear about......

If you’ve been following my blog for the short amount of time it’s been up, you will know how much I like to push people to spay and neuter their pets. It’s the biggest solution to cutting down the number of animals that die every year. And if you didn’t know, it’s in the MILLIONS!! On June 7th, The Priceless Pets Pittie Crew will be putting on their first ever Pack Walk! This event is open to ALL breeds of dogs! Not only will this walk promote the bully breeds and prove......

New relationships are the best. We spend so much time proving to our new love interest that we are the perfect match for them. We do all the “little things” and we listen, we pay attention. We WANT to know what makes you happy and what it’s going to take to make this relationship work because making YOU happy makes US happy! We take the time to learn about this person because it’s important to us. In turn, the other reciprocates and what you have is a perfectly functioning relationship. And then......

I’m not sure what it is but I feel like I give off that vibe that people can just voice their opinion to me. And when I first got Penny Lane, it became more apparent than ever! At first, I used to get super defensive and upset. In fact, I once threw a tennis ball at a lady who was telling me my dog should not be at the park, just to prove that Penny doesn’t chase the ball without a command. I admit, it was not the most effective way to prove......

Remember when that high school let a pit bull on campus as part of an educational presentation? I do. That dog’s name was Elvis. Last week, Elvis accompanied Priceless Pets to Brea Olinda High School as part of a presentation to the kids about puppy mills and adopting over buying a dog. Elvis, of course, was a big hit. Whatever it is, Elvis just has “it” and people are just drawn to him. Click Here to sign up for our Pack Walk on June 7th PS…Did you know that Priceless Pets once......

This was actually an old picture. I thought putting backpacks would be a positive thing for the pups. I actually think they may have been too big. Elvis didn’t seem to care either way but you would have thought there was 80 pounds of bricks inside of Penny’s backpack. As we walked down the street my neighbor asked me, “What did Penny do? She either looks depressed or she’s being punished for something.” lol Some things just aren’t for some people…or dogs. Penny hates backpacks. Lol...

FEATURED IN THE DAILY BULLETIN So Penny and Elvis got invited to Ability First to represent Priceless Pets as part of a PR event for America’s Family Pet Expo last week to teach kids about responsible pet care and how to approach a dog. Ability First serves children and adults with developmental disabilities. The Pet Expo had asked if Priceless Pets could bring any dogs for the kids and they picked Penny and Elvis. This was a big moment for them. Not only did they get to represent such a great organization......

July 14th, 2012 – “After hanging with all the shelter dogs at Petco today, I’m seriously thinking about becoming a foster parent for these abandoned dogs to help socialize them so families will want them and we can change these peoples minds about a lot of these dogs, especially the pits and the rottys.” I remember posting this a few years back after meeting some people from, Priceless Pet Rescue, and like most of the content we post, we say something one day and don’t necessarily feel that strongly about it the......
