A Girl and Her Dog – Pet Owner of the Month September 2015
by Conrad
Hey everyone! I know, it’s been awhile, there’s been so many things going on lately I haven’t had time to sit down and write even though there is so much to write about! However, I want to highlight something new. Every month, I want to highlight a “Pet Owner of the Month”. I want to hear stories about the human behind the pet. We are always focusing on the negative about bad owners; I think it’s only fair we give the good owners some love! So if you have a story about something you went through to keep your dog, whether it was fighting BSL, helping your dog get through a health issue, or even overcoming a behavior issue with your dog, we want to hear it and we would love to share your story with the whole world!!
Our first “Pet Owner of the Month” this month is my friend Paige. She had decided last year that she was going to go away from college. If you know Paige, you know her dog, Wall Street. And if you know Wall Street, you know he literally shuts down if she’s gone for an extended amount of time. I mean, the two of them are even on the front of a shirt. From day 1, Paige was determined to bring her best friend with her. This wouldn’t be an easy task as Wall Street is a 100 lb. American Bully and as we all know not too many landlords out there are exactly open to having a “pit bull” live in their building but Paige never gave up. She kept looking and looking…and looking. Now, we would have all understood if Paige left Wall Street at home so she could start the next chapter in her life. It’s hard enough for an 18 year old to adjust to life away from home but we rarely ever think of how the animals feel. Just because they can’t talk doesn’t mean they don’t feel.
My parents always told me that good luck usually happens as a result of hard work and never giving up. And at the last minute, Paige not only found an apartment that would rent to her but she found a landlord that is a rescue advocate!
And just like that, Paige and Wall Street were off to college! Wall Street even has another dog roomie named Penny! It’s always easier to adjust to life away from home when you bring a piece of home with you!
Thank you, Paige, for being an example to everyone to never give up on their animals and that leaving without him was not an option! Hopefully, someone reads this and changes their mind about giving up, too! You’re already changing the world and you’ve barley started college!!

Paige is an amazing dog lover. When you look at her, you’d guess her to have a Poodle, Yorkie, wellll, small dog. This girl has the BIGGEST, most handsome BULLY ever!!! She is a definite advocate for the breed and all of her pictures are notably unique and beautiful.
Best of luck in college Paige!!!
