The Pup Named Cora
by John Flores
I love to share other blogs. This one especially hits home as I’ve lost a few pups myself while fostering on my watch (7 Fosters & 7 Angels, Wolf ). It haunts you to the point that maybe this isn’t how you want to spend your life.
A few days ago she took in a sick puppy and later that day lost her to parvo. Here’s her story….
I know no matter what anyone says to you, Noelani, nothing anyone says will make you feel better. But I know in your heart you know you did everything possible to help little Cora. Keep doing what you’re doing and I know you’ll carry her in your heart forever.
Welcome to animal rescue. It goes way beyond the cute pictures and videos you see on social media. It’s beyond hard work and will literally bring you to your knees and make you hate the human race. But to save animals you must have faith in humanity because there are good people out there and at the end of the day, we’re the only chance they have.
Though I have not physically met Noelani, we have created a friendship through social media. She fosters and runs her own business (www.urbsub.com) and last year she asked if my pack and I wanted to be affiliates of her brand. I’m pretty sure she thinks Wally is her boyfriend! We share stories and send each other pictures of our dogs (it’s what dog people do. Lol) and when I decided to launch my own brand of clothing she’s been nothing short of supportive of my new venture. Wally, Elvis, myself and my girlfriend will finally get to meet her on May 31st at the Fresno Bully Pack Walk!

Awesome!!! Both of you are the voices for the voiceless and do an amazing job with every animal you Foster or own. God bless you for loving your pets and teaching others to do the same.
