FESTER – Pet of the Month – August 2014
by John Flores
Everyone meet the August “Pet of the Month”! His name is Fester. He’s a 2 year old bull terrier who was pulled from a high kill shelter by Priceless Pets. Fester is also deaf. It’s safe to say that someone paid a lot of money for Fester and like most dogs that cost a lot of money, you get a lot of over breeding. With over breeding you get problems like being deaf. From the scars that were already on his face, he was obviously very neglected and not taken care of. His owners probably thought they got a “bad dog” that “didn’t listen” and dumped him at the shelter where he faced almost certain death. He is currently being fostered by his AMAZING foster mom, Elisha. When Fester first came to us, we thought he wouldn’t do good with other dogs or little kids. That is not the case anymore. His foster mom has been working with him non-stop and all Fester really needs is someone with a loving heart, an open home and the patience to learn how to work with a special needs dog. Fester has been with Priceless Pets way too long and there would be literally tears of joy if August was this guy’s month that he found a home!
